Scott Amy is a member of the firm's litigation practice group. Scott represents national and international clients in an array of complex intellectual property disputes, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and unfair competition litigation in federal and state courts. Scott also counsels clients on intellectual property strategy, licensing, due diligence, and enforcement issues.

Scott graduated from Middlebury College with a double major (B.A., cum laude with high honors) in Biology and Environmental Studies in 1999. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a research associate at the Center for Molecular Medicine at Emory University. During this time, he co-authored several articles that were published in the Journal of Biological Rhythms, Biology of Reproduction, and Developmental Biology. In 2004, he received his law degree (J.D., magna cum laude) from the University of Georgia School of Law. While at Georgia, he was on the editorial board of, and his case note was published in, the Georgia Law Review.

Scott spent eight and a half years in the intellectual property litigation and trademark and copyrights practice groups at Alston & Bird LLP and over ten years at a prominent intellectual property boutique, where he gained significant experience representing clients in a wide range of intellectual property disputes.
